NOMAD SEND IT ANYWHERE

Load up the van, hit the road, climb a mountain, hammer it back down, huck the road gap, throw the bike back in the van, drive to the bike park and do laps on laps. Hell, you could even rock up to the start line on it.

The Nomad’s forte is being ready and willing to go wherever, whenever. The only thing it needs is a rider willing to press send.

FEATURES

ALL THE TRAVEL AND MX WHEELS

With best-of-both-worlds MX wheels–29-inch up front, 27.5 in the rear–you get the superior roll-over of a 29er and the agile back-wheel-steering and lifting that makes 27.5 bikes so much fun. Add a walloping 170mm of rear Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) suspension balanced with a 170mm-travel fork, and you get a bike that's as confident as it is fun when the terrain gets steep and nasty.

EVOLVED GEOMETRY

Nomad’s geometry strikes a perfect balance between a big-hitting bike that’s confident at speed, while still maintaining a fun, playful agility. Its slack, 63.5-degree headtube angle is in league with downhill bikes, but with its trail bike pedigree, Nomad can still be pedaled back up for another rip.

GLOVEBOX STORAGE

Nomad comes with Santa Cruz’s Glovebox–an in-frame storage solution that includes a set of well thought-out pouches for tools and tubes. The compartment is topped by a hatch that secures with a Swiss watch-quality latching mechanism–pretty trick.

DIALED VPP SUSPENSION

By lowering Nomad’s anti-squat, Santa Cruz removed suspension harshness triggered by square-edge hits on descents. It also allows the rear wheel to maintain better traction while climbing. They also reduced the suspension’s starting leverage to improve body-weight influenced stability, while reducing progression allowed the suspension to have consistently better tracking qualities throughout the stroke.

PROPORTIONAL GEOMETRY

Proportional geometry means that certain attributes are scaled up as the frame size gets larger so that whatever your stature, there is no compromise when it comes to fit, balance and suspension performance. The larger the frame, the longer the Nomad's chainstay length, and the steeper the effective seat tube angle.

BUILT TO TAKE A BEATING

Ridden hard and put away wet. If you're out riding as much as you'd like to be or you're throwing the bike in the back of the van before relocating to the next riding spot then it's nice to know that all Santa Cruz bikes are built to last.

LEVEL-UP TO RESERVE CARBON

High-end Nomad builds include Reserve carbon wheels that take your riding experience to the next level. Supple and responsive, Reserves are the perfect blend of comfort and performance, and they come with a lifetime warranty.

LIFETIME WARRANTY AND SUPPORT

Like all Santa Cruz bikes, Nomad comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame, and Reserve carbon rims. It also comes with free replacement pivot bearings for life, and the support of our legendary Rider Support team.
