Santa Cruz Bullit

BIG RANGE, BIG HITS

Where the Heckler's priority is agility and playful handling, the Bullit is made to Hulk smash like a monster truck with 170mm of front and rear travel, a 38mm fork, and burly DoubleDown tires. Add a higher capacity battery, and the picture is complete–Bullit is made for big days on the burliest of trails.

MX IT UP

Up front, the 29-inch wheel adds traction, stability, and rollover, while the rear 27.5-inch wheel keeps the chainstay length reasonable and lets the rider get a little more shreddy. The MX wheel combo also allows riders to unweight the front more easily, while affording small-to-mid-sized riders more butt-to-tire clearance--an especially handy feature on steep descents.

EP8 IS EP-AWESOME

If you're looking to go higher and farther, Shimano's new STEPS EP8 motor and 630Wh battery escalates Bullit to the cusp of the biggest, raddest, and rowdiest descents. The EP8 motor is not only lighter, more powerful, and smaller than its predecessor, it also boasts less drag, making it super efficient. With 85nm of torque, you know the EP8 is powerful, but the updated E-TUBE PROJECT App offers complete adjustability so you can control that power and dial it in to suit your riding style. These improvements make Bullit more capable of tackling longer, tougher climbs, leaving you with full-energy for the ride back down. The choice of Shimano's reliable STEPS system is right in line with Santa Cruz's ethos of building durable, serviceable and globally supported bikes.

Santa Cruz Heckler & Heckler MX

AGILE, PLAYFUL, FUN

When Santa Cruz set out to make their first emtb, they made a conscious choice to build a rider's bike, not a reader's bike. Nothing against reading, but specs on a page ain't tires in the dirt. If you want the most fun, agile, playful emtb bike on the planet, you want the Heckler. Throw a leg over one and you'll see what we mean.

HUSKY OR SVELT, 27.5 OR MX

Now with two distinctly different configurations–the huskier Heckler 27.5, or the more svelt mixed wheel Heckler MX–the ever agile and fun Heckler comes packaged to play your way. The Heckler 27.5 features 160mm front/150mm rear travel along with an evenly-matched wheel set, and a burly selection of builds options. Heckler MX rolls on a 29-inch front wheel paired with a 27.5 wheel in the rear and 140mm of front and rear suspension travel. The MX (Santa Cruz's abbreviation for mixed wheels) is also spec'd a bit lighter putting it more in the all-around trail bike category. Both versions put an emphasis on agility, and a re a flat-out blast to ride.

PROVEN SUSPENSION

Featuring Santa Cruz's supple yet efficient Virtual Pivot Point (VPP) suspension, Heckler 27.5, Heckler MX and Bullit feel plush on the descents, but pedal easy, and efficiently on the way up and across the flats. While Santa Cruz's ebikes share the same lower-link driven suspension design as their non-powered brethren, the e-versions are specially tuned to be more active for seated pedaling–a riding technique, which, along with a high pedal cadence, makes scaling previously unthinkable steeps possible.
