BB90 is the Trek oversized bottom bracket standard and is only found on Trek road bikes. The shell is 90.5mm wide and is designed to work with 24mm spindles and road cranks and have the bearings inside the shell. BSA is another way of stating English threading. The initialization comes from Birmingham Small Arms, which made bicycles. English threading on road bikes mean a 68mm wide, 34mm inside diameter shell with reverse threading on the drive side. It's the most common threaded standard employed today. T47 threaded BB cups for T47 frames and 22/24mm spindle diameter SRAM and Truvativ GXP cranks. Cups have outboard bearings and are typically used in BB shells with widths from 68mm to 100mm. Machined aluminum cups thread together directly into a T47 BB shell. Bearings are easily serviced or replaced. Includes sleeve to fit between cups for added protection from dirt and grime, and also keeps your internal wires and hoses from rubbing on the crank spindle. SRAM saw the opportunity to make a better press fit system where all the best from BB30 and PressFit bottom brackets would be combined into one captivating package. Pressfit 30 will feature an integrated seal, pre-assembled into the cups, to further prolong bearing life. The key difference with Pressfit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups which will be pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. This bottom bracket is designed for 30mm spindle cranksets. Frames will need a 46mm inner-diameter bottom bracket shell to accommodate this system. Italian-threaded bottom bracket shells are typically found on Italian-brand road bikes. The shell measures 70mm wide and has a 35mm inner diameter. This kit has all the pieces necessary to install 24mm diameter cranks, such as those from Shimano, FSA, and others into an ITA shell. CeramicSpeed bearings are pressed into threaded cups, then those cups are threaded into the frame. You choose whether you want yours equipped with Standard or Coated Bearings. Super-round, super-smooth CeramicSpeed balls rotate in hardened-steel races in both. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making them even harder and smoother, resulting in longer life and lower drag. ITA BBs, thanks to the popularity of Italian road bike design, still have a following. The drive-side cup needs to be properly secured, but once that's done, the system is excellent. 24mm cranks work better when mated to our bearings. To make your bike as efficient as possible, you must reduce mechanical drag. Bottom brackets have a measurable effect on speed. CeramicSpeed balls are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. They run on smoother races, too. That means our Standard Bearing BBs have 75% less drag compared to typical bottom brackets. And, the bearings last at least 3x longer than other bearings. These bearings come packed with All Round Grease. If you want less drag and are riding in cleaner environs, install lowest drag TT and Track Grease. If you're riding in wet conditions, more durable LongLife Grease can be put in. The PF4130 bottom bracket is Press Fit into 41mm diameter shells that are 86.5mm wide and mate most cranks with a 30mm spindle to that standard. If you have a BB86 frame and want to install a 386EVO crank or Rotor 30mm crank, this is the kit you need. CeramicSpeed bearings are installed in cups. The Standard Bearing has ceramic CeramicSpeed balls and hardened-steel races. The Coated Bearing has the same balls running on hardened-steel races with a 3-micron-thick metallic coating making the races harder and smoother, increasing service life and reducing friction. Enjoying the benefit of a massive, strong, and light 30mm crank spindle in your BB86 frame is possible with this kit. Press in the cups, set up the wave washer, add spacers if necessary, and torque down. CeramicSpeed's bottom bracket is also stiff and light, but its greatest benefits come in the form of drag reduction. Standard Bearings with stock grease typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's about a 75% drag reduction compared to conventional bottom brackets. The bearings also last at least three times longer than other bearings. Performance can be tuned by replacing grease. All Round comes with this BB, but you can change it to TT and Track Grease for less drag or to LongLife for greater durability.
